Biographies
Raeanne Presley
Elected in April 2007, Raeanne Presley is serving her first term as Branson's mayor. She is co-owner of Presley's Country Jubilee Theater, which was the first music theater to open on the world famous Highway 76 "strip".
Ms. Presley has over 30 years experience in the travel industry and is the immediate past chairman of the Missouri Tourism Commission. She is active in the Branson community having served on the Branson Board of Aldermen, on the Skaggs Community Health Center Board of Directors, the Springfield/Branson Airport Board and numerous other civic boards.
She and her husband Steve have three children who work and perform at the Presley theater.
Stan Barker
Stan Barker has been an alderman from Ward 1 since 2001, and was selected to serve as mayor pro-tem by the Board of Aldermen. He also serves on the Board's Personnel Committee and as the aldermen's representative on the Advisory Park Board.
A native of Branson, Stan has been employed with White River Valley Electric Cooperative for almost 30 years where he is currently the director of safety and security, and is a member of the Branson Daybreakers Rotary Club.
He and his wife Gayla have two grown children and one grandchild.
Bob McDowell
Elected in April 2007, Bob McDowell is serving his first term as alderman from Ward 1 that encompasses northwest Branson. His 30-year career as an entrepreneur transformed Ride The Ducks into the premiere amphibious sightseeing operation in the United States. He sold the company in 2004 to Herschend Family Entertainment. While operating Ride the Ducks, McDowell designed and developed a new state-of-the-art Duck vehicle that exceeded the safety standards set forth by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Missouri Department of Motor Vehicles. McDowell has also developed concepts, built and operated a hotel, restaurant, gift shops, concessions and souvenir photo lab.
His community involved has included: board of directors of a local bank; president of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors plus several Chamber committees; Lives Under Construction Board of Directors and the Boys and Girls Club of the Ozarks Board of Directors.
The local chamber of commerce presented McDowell with the Humanitarian Award named in his honor, for his leading a team of rescue workers who assisted Hurricane Katrina victims utilizing amphibious vehicles.
Cris Bohinc
Cris Bohinc is a 25-year resident of Branson who has been active in community non-profit organizations. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club and as an active member of the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee. Cris successfully completed and became certified as a member of the Community Emergency Response Team through the Branson Fire Department. Cris serves on the Capital Improvements Committee and the Advisory Council on Disabilities. She is married, and her husband is a musician at a popular Branson theater.
Sandra Williams
Sandra Williams was elected in April 2007 as an alderwoman from Ward 2. She is retired after 25 years in municipal government of which 15 years were spent as the city clerk of Branson. She has served on the Missouri City Clerks Association Board and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Board and is a Certified Municipal Clerk and a Master Municipal Clerk. She has received the Missouri Outstanding Municipal Clerk Award. She currently serves on the Board of Aldermen's Budget and Finance Committee.
She and her husband Don have two children and seven grandchildren.
Rick Davis
Dr. Rick Davis is an optometrist and a partner in the Ozarks Family Vision Centre. He has 17 years of experience on both Branson Board of Aldermen and as chairman of the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. He served as a city aldermen from 1991-97 and on the Planning and Zoning Commission for more than 10 years, most recently as its chair. Rick has also been a member of the Taney County Community Foundation Board and served on the Skaggs Community Health Center Board of Directors from 1997-2006 including past chairman.
Rick and his family have lived in Branson for almost 30 years.
Stephen Marshall
Stephen Marshall was elected alderman from Ward 3 in 2007. He has been the Vice President and General Manager of the Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Convention Center for the past nine years. Marshall's hotel experience spans 30 years, having worked in hotels in the United States, Caribbean and Canada. A native of Canada, Marshall relocated in the U.S. in 1984 and became a U.S. citizen in 2002. He currently serves on the board of the Missouri Hotel Lodging Association as treasurer, serves on the boards of the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau and K-Life of Taney County.
He and his wife Daphne have one daughter.
