14 Year Old Branson Girl Abducted and Assaulted

Branson Police are searching for a male suspect following a report from a female being abducted and sexually assaulted. A 14 year old girl reported the incident to Branson Police at 1:55pm Thursday afternoon. The abduction occurred in the 1500 block of Bird Road on the north side of Branson.
The suspect is not known by the victim. Detectives have learned from the victim that the suspect was a white male approximately 25-27 years of age. He was estimated to be 5’ – 8” tall and 200 pounds. He had dark brown hair, straight on the sides and curly in the back with a part to the left side.
The suspect vehicle was a maroon or red in color sport utility vehicle. The victim described the SUV as an older, boxy or square body style. She reported the back window had stick figure stickers of one adult and one child with a ball and one bumper sticker in the middle of the back bumper. The license plate had a white background.
“We are saddened and frustrated this happened in our community. We remain committed to the investigation in an effort to find the suspect that assaulted this young girl,” stated Police Chief Stan Dobbins. “We also encourage our area residents to be on the lookout for this vehicle, and most importantly to pass along any tips of a person and vehicle that fit this description.”
