WB lane of Branson Hwy 76 to close Jan 10, traffic use center lane and notice signal changes

The City of Branson will begin underground utility work at the Titanic Museum on Tuesday, January 10, moving west towards Gretna Road.

The WB lane of Hwy 76 in this area will be closed, and motorists traveling westbound will use the center lane from Montana Mike's Restaurant to the Dream Theater to the west of Gretna Road. Signs and barricades will notify traffic to traffic lane changes, and alternate pedestrian walkways will be installed.

This traffic pattern change will affect the timing of traffic signals at 76 and Gretna using the "split-phased" method allowing only one direction of 76 traffic to pass through the intersection at a time. When EB or WB traffic has the green light, vehicles can go straight, left or right.

Vehicles approaching the intersection on Gretna will not be subject to lane changes.

The City of Branson reminds motorists and pedestrians to exercise extreme caution in this area, paying special attention to signs, barricades and traffic signals.
